The Morning Call
Some demonstrators in Kenya calling for the resignation of president Uhuru Kenyatta over alleged misappropriation of funds in several ministries within the government were arrested on Thursday as anti riot police managed to put an end to their protest. An alleged misappropriation of funds amounting to over 50 million USD from the ministry of health has angered Kenyans, as some figures mentioned in the scandal are directly related to president Kenyatta as well as his sister. The government during the week however blamed the opposition in the country for starting the controversy as a way of gaining mileage as the general elections draw close in 2017.
